berland shall do so from the hour of 9 o'clock A. M. to the
hour of 4 o'clock P. M. each day except Sundays and legal
holidays, and the afternoons of Saturday in the months of
May, June, July, August and September, Cases may, how-
ever, be tried at any hour, upon the joint consent of all
the parties thereof and the Justice of the Peace at Large
before whom the case is to be heard.

Section 179-D. The County Commissioners for Allegany
County are hereby directed, authorized and empowered to
provide suitable quarters, conveniently located in the City
of Cumberland, for the two said Justices of the Peace at
Large who shall sit for the trial of cases in the City of
Cumberland, for the trial of cases.

Section 179-E. The two said Justices of the Peace at
Large for Allegany County, who shall sit for the trial of
cases in the City of Cumberland, shall act as and sit as the
City Police Magistrate for the City of Cumberland at the
Police Court, each for the period of six months in each
year, they shall have when sitting as City Police Magis-
trate during their term, jurisdiction to try and determine
all causes that shall arise from the violation of the Charter,
Ordinances and Rules and Regulations of the Mayor and
City Council of Cumberland. The two said Justices of the
Peace at Large who shall act as and sit as the City Police
Magistrate for the City of Cumberland shall each receive
an annual salary in the amount of Six Hundred ($600. 00)
Dollars, payable monthly. The Mayor and City Council of
Cumberland is hereby directed, authorized and empowered
to provide for in each annual levy the salary hereinbefore
provided to be paid said Justices of the Peace at Large.

Section 179-F. Every writ, warrant, summons or other
process issued by any Justice of the Peace shall be made
returnable before the Justice of the Peace issuing the same,
or before the Justice of the Peace at Large nearest the
district in which the defendant resides; any plaintiff or
defendant shall have the right of removal to the Justice
of the Peace at Large nearest the district in which said
defendant resides.

Section 179-T. All fines imposed by said Justices of the
Peace at Large who shall sit for the trial of cases in the
City of Cumberland as City Police Magistrate, shall be
paid to the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland. Any
