be subject to a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars or
to imprisonment not exceeding one year, or both.

(2) Where a pensioner is convicted of an offense under
this Article, the Local Board or the Department of Welfare
of Baltimore City may cancel or revoke the pension granted
after a fair hearing.

15. The County Commissioners of each County and the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall annually appro-
priate a sum of money sufficient to provide for one-third
of all pensions paid or to be paid within said county or
city. Provided, however, that the County Commissioners
of each County and the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more City shall not be obligated to pay out any sums as
pensions in excess of one-third of the total of all pensions
paid or to be paid within said county or city hereunder,
except to the extent that funds may be available in the
State Treasury for reimbursement.

The State shall reimburse each County and the City of
Baltimore to the extent of two-thirds of the amount ex-
pended for relief for each person receiving an old age
pension under the provisions of this Article. Claims for
reimbursement shall be presented monthly by the County
Commissioners of the several Counties and by the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore to the State Comptroller.
The amount so certified by the County Commissioners of
the several Counties and the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore shall be paid from the State Treasury out of
the funds allocated or allotted for the purpose, upon the
audit and warrant of the State Comptroller to the fiscal
officers of the respective Counties and of Baltimore City
entitled thereto, or to the Local Boards or to the Depart-
ment of Welfare of Baltimore City, as the Board of State
Aid and Charities may direct.

20. Any sums made available by the Congress of the
United States by way of grant to the State of Maryland for
old age assistance shall be divided between the Counties
and Baltimore City in proportion to the amounts paid to
pensioners by said Counties and City respectively, unless
otherwise provided by said Federal legislation. The sums
paid as assistance to any aged recipient shall be a lien
on the estate of the aged recipient which, upon his death,
shall be enforced by the State, and one-half of the net
amount realized by the enforcement of such lien shall be
promptly paid to the United States upon warrant of the
