HARRY W. NICE, GOVERNOR. 257

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the following Section be added to Article
21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Talbot County, " sub-title "Trappe, " to be designated and
numbered as Section 550A.

Section 550A. That all sums of money which may be
due and owing to the Commissioners of Trappe, as appears
upon its books, for water rentals or services, shall be and
constitute a lien upon the real property to or in which
such water service is supplied, and said real property may
be sold to satisfy such lien. The Collector of Water Rents,
who shall be appointed by the Commissioners of Trappe,
shall make sale of such property upon the request and
certification to him by the Town Clerk of the amount of
such lien, the property to which the same attaches, the
name of the owner or owners thereof, and such other in-
formation as said Town Clerk may deem necessary; said
Collector of Water Rents shall advertise said property for
sale and otherwise proceed with such sale in the same way
and manner as is now provided for the sale of real prop-
erty for payment of taxes due said Town of Trappe, with
an allowance to said Collector of Water Rents of the same
fees as allowed the Tax Collector for tax sales; and upon
collection of said lien said Collector of Water Rents shall
account promptly to the Commissioners of Trappe, there-
for.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act is
and it is hereby declared to be an Emergency Law, nec-
essary for the immediate preservation of the public health
and safety, and being passed upon a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
47 of Article 39 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1935 Supplement), title "Fish and Fisheries, " sub-title
"Nets and Seines, " authorizing fishing within 800 yards
of the natural shore line in Cecil County.
