the said application, as in its judgment the public health,
safety or comfort may require; provided, however, that in
case the Council shall grant such petition, it shall thereupon
proceed in all respects in the manner and in the form here-
inafter provided in this Section, and nothing herein con-
tained shall be construed to repeal, revise, alter, amend, or
in any wise affect any other requirements of the provisions
of this Charter relating to the laying out and construction
of public improvements, the assessment for the cost of the
same, or the collection of such assessments.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts and
parts of Acts, laws and parts of laws, ordinances and parts
of ordinances, inconsistent herewith or contrary hereto, be
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1936.

CHAPTER 117.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 14, 16, 20 and 30 of Article 74 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Pilots, " relating
to the piloting of vessels through the Chesapeake and
Delaware Canal and the Elk River.

CHAPTER 118.
AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 21 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Talbot County, "
sub-title "Trappe, " to be designated and numbered as
Section 550A, creating a lien on real property for sums
of money due for water service supplied to or in such
property.
