the County Commissioners after due advertisement, to the
highest bidder or bidders, and said Commissioners shall
have the right to reject any and all bids.
SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That said bonds shall
be dated on July 1st after the purchase of the property
mentioned in Section 1 of this Act, and shall mature and
become payable, Two Thousand Dollars ($2000. 00) on the
1st day of July, ten years after the date of said bonds, and
Two Thousand Dollars ($2000. 00) on the 1st of July
each and every year thereafter, until the full amount of
said issue shall be paid.
SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, That the bonds author-
ized by this Act shall contain a reference to this Act and
the funds derived from the sale of said bonds shall be used
for no other purpose except as hereinbefore directed, to-
gether with the necessary costs in issuing said bonds, and in
case of the failure of the County Commissioners to make the
purchase hereinbefore set forth, the provisions of this Act
with reference to the issuing of said bonds shall be null
and void.
SEC. 5. Be it further enacted. That the County Com-
missioners of Washington County be, and they are hereby
authorized and directed to levy in the first year after the
purchase of any property authorized by Section 1 on the
taxable property in said County, a sum of money sufficient
to pay the purchase price of said real estate, building and
equipment as mentioned in said Section 1 providing the
same is not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars
($20, 000. 00) and should said purchase price be in excess
of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20, 000. 00) and not over
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50, 000. 00) then said County
Commissioners for Washington County are hereby author-
ized and directed to levy annually on the taxable property
in said County a sum of money sufficient to pay the interest
on the bonds hereinbefore mentioned, and to redeem said
bonds as they mature and become payable, and said taxes
shall be collected in like manner as other taxes are collected
in said County, and when collected, shall be applied as
herein set forth.
SEC. 6. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1936.
