CHAPTER 55.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County to take over and maintain the Point-
way Road from Mainway Road towards Chase's Creek.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arun-
del County be and they are hereby authorized to take over
and maintain the Pointway Road, twenty feet wide, run-
ning from Mainway Road to Chase's Creek in the develop-
ment known as Pines on the Severn in the Third Election
District.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 56.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
90 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County, " sub-
title "Fire Companies, " authorizing the County Commis-
sioners of Wicomico County to appropriate the sum of
Eight Thousand Dollars ($8000. 00) annually for the
Wicomico County Volunteer Firemen's Association and
to levy taxes to pay such appropriation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 90 of Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition) title "Wi-
comico County, " sub-title "Fire Companies, " be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
so as to read as follows:
