MESSAGE TO THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES

SENATE OF MARYLAND.

ANNAPOLIS, MD., December 17, 1949

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message notifying the Senate of the
organization of your Honorable Body, and proposing the appoint-
ment of a joint committee of five members, three to be appointed
upon the part of the House and two upon the part of the Senate,
to wait upon the Governor and inform him that the General
Assembly is now prepared to receive any communication which he
may desire to make.

We concur in your proposal for the appointment of a joint com-
mittee of five members and have appointed on the part of the
Senate, Senators Sothoron and Kimble.

We also desire to inform you that the Senate is organized, the
Honorable Jos. R. Byrnes having been elected President and C.
Andrew Shaab having been elected Secretary of the Senate.
