REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Senator Sothoron moved that the rules be suspended in order to
report the following bill, and two-thirds of the Senators-elect,
voting in the affirmative, the rules were suspended by yeas and nays
as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

President, Bailey, Balch, Barton, Beck, Carter, Davis, Della, Ellison, Fraley,
Goldstein, Hoff, Hofferbert, Johnson, Guy, Johnson, T. F., Kimble, McAllister,
McLaughlin, Monroe, O'Neill, Phoebus, Shallcross, Sothoron, Storm, Strom-
berg, Stromeyer, Thomas, Turnbull, White. Total—29

NEGATIVE—NONE.

The rules being suspended, Senator Sothoron, for the Committee
on Finance, reported favorably:

House Bill No. 1—By the Speaker:

Subject: "CREATING A STATE DEBT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$350,000.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ERECTING AND
EQUIPPING A NEW BUILDING OR BUILDINGS FOR THE
COLORED DEAF AND BLIND AT THE MARYLAND SCHOOL
FOR THE BLIND."

Favorable report adopted.

The bill was read the second time and ordered passed to its third
reading.

Upon further motion of Senator Sothoron, and two-thirds of all
the Senators-elect, voting in the affirmative, the rules were sus-
pended by yeas and nays as follows, and bill put upon its third
reading and final passage.
