HOUSE RESOLUTION.

By Messrs. Adler and Robinson:

House Resolution congratulating the Hon. John S. White for
his service as Speaker.

WHEREAS, the Hon. John S. White, of the Prince George's County
Delegation, has served this House with distinction as its Speaker,
since the 1944 Special Session of the General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, Mr. White has achieved for himself a high place among
the notable persons who have held this high office; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of this House that recognition of his
services once again be made publicly; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Delegates of Maryland, That the thanks
and appreciation of this House be accorded to the Hon. John S.
White, and that this House congratulates him for the notable
record achieved by him during his tenure in the Speakership; and
be it further

Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the
Journal of this House, and that the Chief Clerk of this House be
and he is hereby instructed to send a copy thereof to the Hon. John
S. White.

HOUSE RESOLUTION.

By Mr. Wm. C. Lehnert:

House Resolution requesting the Legislative Council to study the
possibility of paying a bonus to Veterans of World War I and
World War II, who served with honor.

Resolved by the House of Delegates of Maryland, That the Legis-
lative Council be and it is hereby requested to study the possi-
bilities of providing a State bonus to be paid the honorably dis-
charged members of World War I and II forces.
