MESSAGE TO THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES.

BY THE SENATE.

By Senator Funk:

ANNAPOLIS, MD., December 27, 1946.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message notifying the Senate of the organ-
ization of your Honorable Body, and proposing the appointment of
a joint committee of five members, three to be appointed on the
part of the House and two upon the part of the Senate, to wait
upon the Governor and inform him that the General Assembly is
now prepared to receive any communication which he may desire
to make.

We concur in your proposal for the appointment of a joint com-
mittee of five members and have appointed upon the part of the
Senate, Senators Marvel and Hughes.

We also desire to inform you that the Senate is organized, the
Honorable James J. Lindsay having been elected President and
C. Andrew Shaab having been elected Secretary of the Senate.

At 1.05 o'clock P. M., on motion of Senator Funk, duly seconded,
the Senate took a recess until 3.00 o'clock P. M.
