INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

Senate Bill No. 1—By Senator Lindsay (President) :

A Bill entitled "An Act making an emergency appropriation for
the payment of the expenses of the General Assembly of Maryland
for the Extraordinary Session of 1946."

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

Senate Bill No. 2—By Senator Lindsay (President) :

A Bill entitled "An Act making emergency appropriations from
the general surplus for the support of the State Government and
other related purposes for the remainder of the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1947."

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Finance.

Senate Bill No. 8—By Senators Funk, Altfeld, Bennett, Bowling,
Byrnes, Campbell, Carter, Cronin, Della, Dulin, George, Gonder,
Hampton, Hughes, Johnson, Marvel, Myers, Newsome, Sothoron,
Waller, Warfield and Wilmer.

A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Sections 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 15 of Article 78B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and 1943 Supplement), title
'Racing Commission', Sections 11 and 13 having been amended by
Chapter 961 of the Acts of 1945, and to add two new sections to
said Article, said new sections to be known as Sections 15A and
15B and to follow immediately after Section 15 of said Article,
relating to the licensing and taxation of racing in the State and the
distribution of the receipts therefrom, and repealing Chapters 89
and 264 of the Acts of 1918, and all other inconsistent laws."
