HOUSE RESOLUTION.
By Mr. Lehnert:

A House Resolution for the operation of taxicabs by veterans.

WHEREAS, there are certain restrictions imposed by the Public
Service Commission on the operation of public taxicabs in Baltimore
City and elsewhere in the State of Maryland; and

WHEREAS, these restrictions may work a hardship upon returning:
veterans who wish to engage in this occupation; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Delegates of Maryland, That the Public
Service Commission be and it is hereby requested to relax such regu-
lations as limit the number of permits and franchises, in favor of
any returning war veteran who wishes to operate a taxicab; and be
it further

Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the Jour-
nal of the House and that the Chief Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to send a copy to.the Public Service Commission.
