MESSAGE FROM THE SENATE.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered the following
message:

Being:

BY THE SENATE.
By Senator Funk:

ANNAPOLIS, MD., November 5, 1945.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message notifying the Senate of the organ-
ization of your Honorable Body, and proposing the appointment of
a joint committee of five members, three to be appointed upon the
part of the House and two upon the part of the Senate, to wait
upon the Governor and inform him that the General Assembly is
now prepared to receive any communication which he may desire
to make...

We concur in your proposal for the appointment of a joint com-
mittee of five members and have appointed upon the part of the
Senate, Senators Bennett and Bowling.

We also desire to inform you that the Senate is organized, the
Honorable James J. Lindsay having been elected President and C.
Andrew Shaab having been elected Secretary of the Senate.

Secretary.
