(6) On and after January 1,1945, no license shall thereafter
be valid, used or issued in Kent County for the sale of alcoholic
beverages, except beer, authorized to be sold in such dispen-
saries, it being the purpose and intent of this section to limit
the sale of alcoholic beverages, except beer, in Kent County, to
the County Dispensaries hereby created. The provisions of
this section shall not in any manner be deemed to limit or
restrict the issuance of Beer Licenses, Class A (Off Sale), Beer
Licenses, Class B (On Sale), and Beer Licenses, Class D (On
Sale)—Generally as provided in Section 4 of this Article.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Public General
and Public Local Laws which are inconsistent with the provi-
sions of this Act be and they are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency and that the provisions of Sub-section
(A) of Section 6 of Article 2B shall not apply to Kent County.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the holder of any
license issued for the sale of alcoholic beverages other than
beer shall, on January 1, 1945, be entitled to a refund of the
unused portion of said license.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect January 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 5.

(Senate Bill No. 6)

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 713 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1943, purporting to amend certain
sections of the Charter of the Town of Somerset, Mont-
gomery County.

WHEREAS, Senate Bill 176, proposing to amend the Charter
of the Town of Somerset, Montgomery County, with Chapter
713 assigned to it, was erroneously and inadvertently presented
to the Governor and was signed by him; and

WHEREAS, the Senate Journal and the records of the De-
partment of Legislative Reference show that said Senate Bill
176 never actually passed; therefore
