of said newspapers in which the same have been published;
and also all assignments and transfers thereof as hereinbefore
provided; and said respective Clerks shall furnish copies of
such records duly certified by them in the usual manner to all
persons who may apply therefor, and shall receive for such
recording and such copies the fees paid with respect to bills
of sale; and a certified copy of said descriptions and of the
said advertisements and certificates of the said publishers of
the said newspaper, or of said assignments or transfers when
certified to under the hand of the Clerk with whom the same
are of record, with the seal of his office attached, shall be evi-
dence that the provisions of the preceding sections have been
complied with, and shall be prima facie evidence of title to or
right to use, collect and deliver in the said returnable con-
tainers.

370. It shall be the duty of those receiving any such re-
turnable containers in which milk or cream or any dairy
products comes into immediate contact, to thoroughly cleanse
the inside of such containers immediately upon emptying the
contents; and it is further declared to be the duty of every
one receiving any registered returnable containers within the
scope of this sub-title, to promptly surrender such containers
upon demand to the owners or dealers from whom the same
were received; and a violation of any of the provisions hereof
is declared to be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of one
dollar.

373. A returnable container as used in this sub-title is
hereby defined to be any device made of any material whatso-
ever, used for the purpose of holding, containing or converting
into a package, goods, wares or merchandise, or packages there-
of, either of necessity or for convenience of delivery or sale,
and which container is, by its very nature, susceptible of re-
peated use for such purpose, and the title to which container
the vendor does not intend to pass with the sale of the contents;
or any bag, box, basket or any other device made of any mater-
ial whatsoever, used for the purpose of holding or containing
any article, material or thing being sent, conveyed or trans-
ported to any laundry, dry cleaning or dyeing establishment
to be washed, laundered, dry cleaned or dyed, or holding or
containing any such article, material or thing being returned
to the person, partnership or body corporate entitled to the
