more City, that a bridge be constructed across Bear Creek at or
near Lovel Point, Baltimore County; and
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has, by an Act
known as Public Bill No. 498 of the Seventieth Congress, ap-
proved May 24, 1928. authorized the construction, mainte-
nance and operation of a bridge across Bear Creek at or. near
Lovel Point, Baltimore County, Maryland, at a point suitable
to the interests of navigation, in accordance with the provi-
sions of an Act entitled "An Act to Regulate the Construction
of Bridges over Navigable Waters, " approved March 23, 1906,
and subject to the conditions and limitations contained in the
aforesaid Act entitled "Public Bill No. 498."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That McClintic-Marshall Corporation, a body cor-
porate, created and existing1 under the general laws of the State
of Delaware, its successors and assigns, is hereby authorized,
at its own expense, to construct, maintain, operate, repair 'and
re-build a bridge for vehicular traffic with a driveway of a
width of at least twenty (20) feet and with a draw suitable for
the passage of vessels, together with appropriate fills, excava-
tions, approaches and appurtenant structures, across Bear Creek
at or near Lovel Point (that is, between Coffin Point and Long
Point), Baltimore County, Maryland, the plans, specifications,
location and the erection thereof, to be subject to the approval
of the Secretary of War of the United States of America, the
State Roads Commission of Maryland and the Roads Engi-
neer of Baltimore County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said company is
hereby authorized to fix and to revise from time to time tolls
for transit over said bridge and to charge and collect the same,
and to fix by contract with any person, partnership, association,
or corporation desiring the use of said bridge, approaches, ap-
purtenances and works, or any part thereof, for placing thereon
or carrying water, gas or oil pipe lines, tracks for railroad or
railway use, telephone, telegraph, electric light or power lines
or for any other purpose, the terms, conditions and rates of
charges for such use, provided, however, that any such contract
for the use of said bridge for such purpose or purposes shall in
every case provide for adequate compensation to said company,
its successors and assigns. The rates of tolls and charges so
fixed shall be the legal rates, unless and until changed by order
