ALBERT C. RITCHIE, GOVERNOR. 759

Anne Arundel County, without first having obtained a license
therefor from the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel
County, and having paid said Clerk a license fee of fifteen dol-
lars ($15. 00), which shall cover the period of one year from the
date of issuing said license, or any part of said year. All
such licenses shall be renewable on or before the first day of
June next ensuing, and the Clerk of the Court of said County
shall keep a record of all such licenses, showing at all times the
duly qualified auctioneers authorized to do business in said
County. Any person violating this Act shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof before any jus-
tice of the peace of Anne Arundel County, shall pay a fine not
exceeding twenty-five dollars ($25. 00) for the first offense, and
a fine not exceeding fifty dollars ($50. 00) for each succeeding
offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER. 247.

AN ACT to authorize McClintic-Marshall Corporation, a

body corporate, its successors and assigns, to construct, main-
tain and operate a bridge at its own expense in Baltimore
County across Bear Creek at or near Lovel Point (that is,
between Coffin Point and Long Point), and to authorize
said company, its successors and assigns, to collect tolls and
other charges for the use of said bridge, and fixing the terms
and conditions upon which said bridge may be acquired by
purchase or condemnation by the State of Maryland or the
County Commissioners of Baltimore County, and to fix a
gross receipts tax to be paid by said Company, its successors
and assigns, in lieu of all other taxation, and to provide
the further terms and conditions on which said bridge may be
constructed and operated.

WHEREAS, it will promote commerce and the welfare and
prosperity of the people of this State, and more particularly of
the people of Sparrows Point, Baltimore County, and of Balti-
