County in which said land, structures, stream bed, water way,
water rights or water shed is located, as are provided for con-
demnation of land by public service corporations in the Public
General Laws of Maryland now or thereafter in effect, and the
Annapolis Water Company may likewise condemn the interest
of any tenant, lessee or other person having any right or in-
terest in said land, structures or buildings, stream bed, water
way, water rights or water shed.

At any time after ten days after the return and recordation
of the verdict or award in said proceedings, the Annapolis
Water Company may enter and take possession of the prop-
erty so condemned, upon first paying to the Clerk of the Court
the amount of said award and all costs taxed to that date,
notwithstanding any appeal or further proceedings upon the
part of the defendant. At the time of said payment, however,
the Annapolis Water Company shall give its corporate under-
taking to abide by and fulfill any judgment in such appeal or
further proceedings.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the Gen-
eral Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 33.

AN ACT to add a new section to* Chapter 88 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, 1922, said new section
to be known as Section 20 and to follow immediately
after Section 19 of said Act, said new section relating to
properties sold to, and forfeited to the town of Mt. Rainier,
Prince George's County, Maryland, on account of defaulted
town taxes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new section be, and it is hereby, added to
Chapter 88 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
