WHEREAS, The State of Maryland by the aforesaid Acts
of Assembly set forth in the title hereof has taken over the
control and operation of said Home and Infirmary of Western
Maryland in the City of Cumberland; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That the Home and Infirmary of Western Mary-
land in the City of Cumberland and its Board of Directors
be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to sell all
its property and assets and convert the same into cash or
other securities, and to give, assign and transfer said cash
or other securities to the Board of Governors of the Memorial
Hospital of Cumberland, for its corporate purposes, and/or
to give, grant and convey all of its said property and assets
to said Board of Governors of the Memorial Hospital of Cum-
berland, for its corporate purposes. And the said Board
of Governors of the Memorial Hospital of Cumberland shall,
as successors of the said Board of Directors of the Home
and Infirmary of Western Maryland in the City of Cumber-
land, administer any trusts that may have heretofore been
in the control of the Board of Directors of the said Home and
Infirmary of Western Maryland in the City of Cumberland)
upon receipt of any moneys by the Board of Governors from
the mortgage and/or sale of the real estate of said Home and
Infirmary, so much of the same as may be necessary shall be
retained and used by said Board for the carrying out of any
such trusts and for the completion of the construction and
equipment program of said Memorial Hospital, heretofore
authorized and directed by the General Assembly of Maryland
to be done and performed, and thereafter the surplus shall be
turned over by said Board of Governors to the Trustees of the
Sinking Fund of the City of Cumberland to be used for re-
tiring any bonds issued by said City, the proceeds of which
have been or will have been turned over to the said Board of
Governors of the Memorial Hospital of Cumberland.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said Home
and Infirmary of Western Maryland in the City of Cumber-
land after it has given, transferred or granted all of its prop-
erty and assets to the said Board of Governors of the Memor-
ial Hospital of Cumberland, as authorized in the preceding
section, shall be and stand dissolved and abolished. In the
event of the transfer or transfers as herein authorized, any ap-
propriations now or hereafter made by the State of Maryland
