election, but if less than a majority in number of the total regis-
tered vote shall be cast "For Use of Electric Fund" then no
pant of said fund shall be used for such purpose.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act
contained is intended or shall be taken or construed to relieve
the Commissioners of St. Michaels from any and all provisions
of Chapter 180 of the Acts of 191. 0 of the General Assembly
of Maryland, known as the Public Service Commission Law, or
any amendments thereto.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 206.
AN ACT to make valid and binding certain scrip in the form
of interest bearing notes of indebtedness heretofore issued
by the County Commissioners of Wicomico County, and
authorizing the County Commissioners of Wicomico County
to pay same as soon as the finances of the County will per-
mit.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That whereas, during a number of years past the
different Boards of County Commissioners for Wicomico Coun-
ty have issued certain scrip in the form of interest bearing
notes of indebtedness of said County, which issue was not
sanctioned by law; therefore, be it enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland, that all scrip in the form of interest
bearing notes heretofore issued by the County Commissioners
of Wicomico County, bearing interest from the date of issue,
be and they are hereby made valid and binding, and the said
County Commissioners are hereby authorized to redeem and
pay the same with interest, as expressed on their face, where
the same are outstanding, as soon as the finances of the Coun-
ty will permit.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, This Act is hereby
declared to be an Emergency Law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public safety, and being passed by
a "Yea" and "Nay" vote supported by three-fifths of all the
