fund to be known as the "Municipal Band Fund, " and shall
be used for no other purpose than those herein specified. All
payments out of said fund to said Municipal Band shall be with-
in the discretion of the Mayor and Councilmen of Frostburg
and may at any time be discontinued for any cause satisfactory
to the Mayor and Councilmen of Frostburg. And it shall be
the duty of the proper officials of said band to prepare and file
with the Mayor and Councilmen of Frostburg on the first day
of November and May of each year, a sworn statement showing
the precise purposes for which any moneys so appropriated have,
during the preceding six-month period, been disbursed.

SEC. 5. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 183.

AN ACT to regulate the sale of caustic acids, caustic alkalies
and preparations thereof, intended for household uses; and
providing penalties for the violation thereof, by adding a
new section to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land, title "Crimes and Punishments. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new and additional section be and the same
is hereby added to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land, title "Crimes and Punishments, " to be known as Section
291 A, to follow Section 291 thereof, said new and additional
section to read as follows:

291 A. The term dangerous caustic or corrosive substance
means each and all of the acids, alkalies, and substances named
below: Hypochlorous acid, either free or combined, and any
preparation containing the same in a concentration so as to
yield ten per centum or more by weight of available chlorine,
excluding calx chlorinata, bleaching powder, and chloride of
lime; Potassium hydroxide and any preparation containing
free or chemically unneutralized potassium hydroxide, includ-
ing caustic potash and Vienna paste, in a concentration of ten
per centum or more; Sodium hydroxide and any preparation
containing free or chemically unneutralized sodium hydroxide,
