paid and shall have no power or authority to use the same or
any part thereof for any other purpose whatsoever.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That in the event suffi-
cient sum or sums of money shall not be or become due to
Allegany County from any of the funds herein mentioned
within four years from April 1, 1929, and the said sum of
One Hundred and Eighty Thousand ($180, 000. 00) Dollars or
any part thereof shall then be due and owing by the County
Commissioners of Allegany County for or on account of said
issuance of notes, that then and in that event the County Com-
missioners of Allegany County shall have the power to levy
upon the assessable property in Allegany County a tax which
shall be sufficient to pay such sum as may be then due and
owing on or on account of the principal sum of notes out-
standing.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Allegany County shall pay the interest on said
notes, or any renewals thereon, as the same become due and
payable, and shall annually cause to be levied upon the assess-
able property in Allegany County a tax which shall be suffi-
cient to pay the interest on said notes until the same shall have
been fully paid, and shall annually deduct from any appropria-
tion made by said County Commissioners of Allegany County
to the Road Directors of Allegany County the amount of inter-
est paid by said County Commissioners of Allegany County
for or on account of said notes or renewal thereof.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act is an
emergency law and necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health and safety, and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.
