ordinance in the precise terms of said Ordinance No. 553,
approved February 1st, 1926.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each branch of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 114.

AN ACT to define, survey and mark the boundary of Virginia
and Maryland along the Potomac River as laid down by the
Award of 1877, and to authorize the expenditure necessary
therefor, and such action as may be necessary to secure the
approval by the Congress of the United States of the line
so surveyed and marked.

CHAPTER 115.

AN ACT to authorize the State Roads Commission of Mary-
land to join with the State Roads Commission of West Vir-
ginia for the purchase of existing interstate highway bridges
and approaches over the Potomac River, and for the erec-
tion of new bridges over said river, when in the judgment
of said Commissions such action is necessary, and to use
funds appropriated for the construction of roads and bridges
in the State highway system for such purposes, to provide
for the vesting of title to such bridges and approaches jointly
in the State of Maryland and the State of West Virginia, in
each an undivided one-half interest; to provide for the
charge and collection of tolls on said bridges so purchased
or erected, and the application of such tolls on the purchase
price of said bridges or for the cost of erection thereof,
