diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of
its passage.

CHAPTER 105.

AN ACT to add eight new sections to Article 21 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Talbot Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Trappe, " to be known and designated as
Sections 227A, 227B, 227C, 227D, 227E, 227F, 227G and
227H, and to follow immediately after Section 227 as
enacted by Chapter 346 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1918, authorizing The Commissioners of
Trappe to levy taxes for corporate purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That eight new sections be added to Article 21 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Talbot
County, " sub-title "Trappe, " to be known as Sections 227A,
227B, 227C, 227D, 227E, 227F, 227G and 227H, to follow
immediately after Section 227 of Chapter 346 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1918, to read as follows:

227A, They may appoint annually by ordinance a Tax
Collector, prescribe his duties and fix his compensation, re-
quire him to give bond in such penalty as they may determine
for the faithful performance of his duties and for good cause
may at any time remove him and appoint another in his place.

The said Commissioners are hereby directed to have the
books of the Tax Collector and of the Treasurer of said town
audited by competent authority on or before the first clay of
May each year, and the first audit shall cover the years 1927
and 1928.

227B. If taxes be due and owing upon real property or
real and personal property by any taxpayer, the whole of said
taxes shall be a lien on said real property, and said real prop-
erty may be sold to pay the same without regard to the exist-
ence of personal property.
