SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 147 of the Acts of 1904, entitled "An
Act to regulate and equalize the pay of the Judges of the
Orphans' Court for Dorchester County, " be and it is hereby
repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That a new section be
and it is hereby added to Article 10 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1888 Edition), title "Dorchester
County, " sub-title "Orphans' Court, " said new section to be
known as Section 238A, to follow immediately after Section
238 of said Article, and to read as follows:
238A. The Judges of the Orphans' Court of Dorchester
County shall each receive the sum "of eight dollars ($8. 00) for
every day's attendance upon the sessions of said Court, to be
paid by the County Commissioners of said Dorchester County
in quarterly payments, upon the certificate of the Register of
Wills for said County; provided, that no Judge absent from
any session of said Court shall receive compensation for or
during such absence.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of
laws inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed to the
extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 102.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 1
of Chapter 590 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1916,
by providing for an increase in the salary of the counsel
to the County Commissioners and other officials of Howard
County.
