CHAPTER 18.

AN ACT to authorize the Governor to appoint an additional
Justice of the Peace for the fourth election district of Queen
Anne's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Governor be and he is hereby authorized
to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace for the fourth
election district of Queen Anne's County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 19.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 54B,
54C, 54I, 54J, 54K, of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Wicomico County, " sub-title
"Justices of the Peace and Constables, " as said sections were
enacted by Chapter 329 of the Acts of 1927, and to add a new
section to said Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Wicomico County, " sub-title "Justices
of the Peace and Constables, " to be known as Section 54J1,
and to follow immediately after Section 54J of said Article,
conferring additional powers on the Judge of the People's
Court, increasing the salary of the Judge of the People's
Court, increasing the salary of the Clerk of the People's
Court, fixing the schedule of fees and providing for the pay-
ment of the sum of One Thousand Dollars to the State's At-
torney for Wicomico County for his attendance before the
People's Court in addition to the salary already paid said
State's Attorney.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 54B, 54C, 54I, 54J, 54K, of Article 23
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Wicomico
County, " sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Constables, " as
said Sections were enacted by Chapter 329 of the Acts of 1927,
be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, and that a new section be added to said Article 23 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Wicomico
County, " sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Constables, " to
