CHAPTER 86.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Queen Anne's County, Maryland, to provide for the
purchase of a building lot, erecting and equipping of a
high school building thereon in or near Stevensville, Queen
Anne's County, Maryland, and to issue bonds to pay for
the same, and to levy an annual sum to pay such bonds
and the interest thereon as they mature, and to appoint a
building committee for the supervision of the purchase of
said lot and. the building and equipping of said high school,
the acts of said committee to be subject to the final rati-
fication and approval of the County Commissioners of Queen
Anne's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
County, Maryland, are hereby authorized and directed to bor-
row on the credit of said county, an amount not exceeding
Twenty Thousand Dollars, and to issue coupon bonds there-
for, not later than July 1st, 1929, in sums of not less than
One Hundred Dollars nor more than One Thousand Dollars,,
to be signed by the President of said Board of County Com-
missioners and countersigned by the Clerk thereof, and under
the corporate seal of said Board of County Commissioners,
to be designated as "Queen Anne's County Public School
Bonds, " bearing interest at a rate to be fixed by the County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's County, Maryland, not exceed-
ing five per centum per annum, payable semi-annually on the
first day of July and on the first day of January of each
year, which bonds shall be exempt from all State, County
and Municipal taxation in Queen Anne's County, Maryland,
and the due or overdue coupons for interest shall be received
by the Treasurer of said County in payment of County Taxes.
Said bonds shall bear date as of July 1st, 1929, and be
payable in sums of Two Thousand Dollars in each of the
years beginning with July 1st, 1931, and each year there-
after until fully paid; said bonds to be numbered consecutively
and to be redeemed in the order in which they are numbered.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Queen Anne's County, Maryland, are hereby au-
thorized and directed to advertise at least once a week for
three successive weeks in three newspapers published in Queen.
