To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, DAVID C. WINEBRENNER, 3D, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE
STATE OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in
Chap. 441 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Md. of 1922,
Do HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General election held in this
State on Tuesday, November 6, 1928, an Act, known as Chap-
ter 523 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1927, was
submitted to the voters of Anne Arundel County for their
adoption or rejection, under the provisions of Article 16 of
the Constitution of the State, said Act being:
An Act to increase the salary of the County Commission-
ers of Anne Arundel County from Three Hundred Dol-
lars ($300) to Six Hundred Dollars ($600) per year
for services as County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County; said salary to be paid to them monthly.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County shall receive the sum of Six Hundred Dollars ($600)
per year as County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County;
said salary to be paid to them monthly.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with this Act be, and the same are hereby
repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June (1927).
AND I Do CERTIFY, That at said election 1, 260 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of said Chapter 523 of the Acts
of 1927, and 7, 526 votes were cast against the adoption of
said Act, in Anne Arundel County; and a majority being
against the adoption thereof, it was thereby rejected and re-
pealed by the voters.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-

cial Seal, at the City of Annapolis, this 26th
day of November, 1928.
