NO. 5.
A Joint Resolution memorializing the Congress of the United
States to select a site for the summer home of the President
in the State of Maryland.
WHEREAS, President Coolidge has suggested that provision
be made for a summer home for the President of the United
States near Washington; and
WHEREAS, There are many suitable sites in Maryland near
the National Capital which would be desirable for a summer
home for the President; and
WHEREAS, Since the Nation's Capital was formerly a part
of the State of Maryland, it seems appropriate that the sum-
mer home of the President should be located in Maryland;
therefore be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Congress of the United States be and it is hereby requested to
select a site for the summer home of the President of the United
States somewhere in the State of Maryland; and be it further
Resolved, That the Secretary of the State of Maryland be
and he is hereby requested to transmit under the Great Seal of
this State, a copy of the aforegoing resolution to the President
of the United States, the President of the Senate, the Speaker
of the House of Representatives, and to each of the Repre-
sentatives from Maryland, in both Houses of Congress.

NO. 6.
A Joint Resolution authorizing and empowering the Governor
to name a commission to investigate the problem of losses
sustained through personal injury and property damage
accidents caused by financially irresponsible, reckless, motor-
ists, from the standpoint of the prevention of such acci-
dents, from the standpoint of accident prevention in general,
and from the standpoint of the feasibility of a legislative
remedy; and to report thereon to the Governor and the
General Assembly.
