ALBERT C. RITCHIE, GOVERNOR. 1297

Maryland and Delaware Coast Railway Company shall be ex-
empt for a period of four years from all county and municipal

taxes.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

Approved April 11, 1929.

CHAPTER 552.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 2, 3, 4 and 12 of Chapter 96 of
the Acts of 1922, Section 9 of Chapter 2 of the Acts of
1924 and Section 103 of Chapter 1 of the Acts of 1924
of the General Assembly of Maryland, said sections being
known as Sections 2, 3, 4, 9, 12 and 103 of Article 1A of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title, "Allegany
County, " sub-title, "City of Cumberland, " and relating to
the bounds and limits of the City of Cumberland, the con-
trol of the highways therein, the establishment of pre-
cincts therein and the registration of voters therein, and
the qualifications of Mayor and Councilmen, and to re-enact
the same with amendments; and to provide for the deter-
mination by referendum to the registered voters residing
within the territorial limits prescribed in this Act as to
whether or not this Act shall become effective.

SECTION 1, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Sections 2, 3, 4 and 12 of Chapter 96 of the
Acts of 1922, Section 9 of Chapter 2 of the Acts of 1924 and
Section 103 of Chapter 1 of the Acts of 1924 of the General
Assembly of Maryland, said sections being known as Sections
2, 3, 4, 9, 12 and 103 of Article 1A of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title, "Allegany County, " sub-title, "City
of Cumberland, " and relating to the bounds and limits of the
City of Cumberland, the control of highways, the establish-
ment of precincts and the registration of voters, and the qual-
ifications of Mayor and Councilmen, be and the same are here-
by repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
