within one and a half miles of Sandy Point, Hackett's Point,
Thomas' Point, Holland's Island Bar and Three Sisters and
Holland's Point Bar with any implement or device other than
ordinary rakes or tongs with wooden shafts, to be used entirely
toy hand, and without any ropes or hoisting gear whatever. Any
person or persons violating any one of the provisions of this
section shall be liable to the penalties, prescribed in the pre-
ceding section for taking oysters with rakes or tongs without
license; and the waters within one and a half miles of Sandy
Point, Hackett's Point, Tolley's Point, Thomas' Point, Holland's
Island Bar and Three Sisters and Holland's Point Bar shall be
held and considered to be within the limits of Anne Arundel
County for the purpose of this section and Article.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of
laws of the State of Maryland, general or local, inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act be and the same is hereby re-
pealed, to the extent of such inconsistency.

CHAPTER 517.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 35 of the Code under
the sub-title "Proof of Accounts, " to be known as Section
54A, providing for the admissibility in evidence in certain
cases of any writing or record.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be added to Article 35 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition) under the sub-title "Proof
of Accounts, " to be known as Section 54A, the same to read as
follows:
54A. Any writing or record, whether in the form of an entry
in a book or otherwise, made as a memorandum or record of
any act, transaction, occurrence or event, shall be admissible in
evidence in proof of said act, transaction, occurrence or event,
if made in the regular course of any business, and if it was the
regular course of such business to make such memorandum or
record at the time of such act, transaction, occurrence or event
or within a reasonable time thereafter. All other circumstances
of the making of such writing or record, including lack of per-
sonal knowledge by the entrant or maker, may be shown to affect
its weight, but they shall not affect its admissibility. The term
