CHAPTER 501.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 16 of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Chancery, "
to be known as Section 267A, relating to courts of equity as-
suming jurisdiction over trust estates.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be added to Article 16 of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Chancery, "
said new section to follow immediately after Section 267 and
to be known as Section 267A and to read as follows:
267A. Whenever in any will, deed or other instrument exe-
cuted after July 1, 1929, real or personal property is given to
a trustee with or without a personal or discretionary power of
sale or investment of any assets of the trust estate, any person
having under the will, deed or other instrument an interest in
the trust estate shall be entitled to have the trust estate admin-
istered under the supervision of a court of equity, and may
apply to the court to assume jurisdiction thereof, and the court
shall thereupon assume jurisdiction over the entire trust estate
or such part thereof as it may deem proper, unless a contrary
intention be expressly stated in the instrument creating the
trust; and the court may thereafter, if it deems proper, re-
quire that all persons interested be made parties to the proceed-
ing.

CHAPTER 502.
AN ACT to repeal Section 221 of Article 93 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Testamentary Law, "
sub-title "Inventory and List of Debts, " said section relating
to notice of appraisement.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 221 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Testamentary Law, " sub-title
''Inventory and List of Debts, '' be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.
