furnished to a child who after due examination and investiga-
tion may be entitled thereto; it shall contain a statement cer-
tifying that the child has regularly attended the public schools
or private or parochial schools for not less than such a minimum
period of attendance as is now or may hereafter be prescribed
by law during any period of twelve months after such child
shall have arrived at the age of thirteen years and that such
child has completed the course prescribed for elementary
schools in the city or county in which said child resides. Such
school record shall give the name, date of birth and residence
of the child as shown on the records of the school and the name
of the parent or guardian or custodian.
The provisions of this section relating to school attendance
shall not be enforced against any child who has been granted a
permit under the provisions of Chapter 192 of the Act of 1906;
provided, however, that such child is able otherwise to meet
the educational requirements of this section.

CHAPTER 492.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland (1927 Edition of said Article),
title "Baltimore City, " sub-title "Criminal Court of Balti-
more, " said new section to be known as Section 334A, to
follow immediately after Section 334 of said Article and to
deal with the salary of the Chief Clerk of the Criminal Court
of Baltimore City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1927 Edition
of said Article) title "Baltimore City, " sub-title "Criminal
Court of Baltimore, " said new section to be known as Section
334A, to follow immediately after Section 334, and to read as
follows:
334A. The annual salary of the Chief Clerk of the Criminal
Court of Baltimore City shall be Three Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($3, 500).
