tion was amended by Chapter 168 of the Acts of 1922, in-
creasing the compensation of the jail guard.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 534 of Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (Duckett & Claggett's Edi-
tion), title "Prince George's County, " sub-title "Sheriff—
Guard to the Jail, " as said section was amended by Chapter
168 of the Acts of 1922, be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments, to read as follows:
534. Said guard, when appointed, shall serve continuously,,
and he shall receive for his services the sum of two dollars
for each day, and two dollars for each night he shall serve
as such guard, to be certified by the Sheriff, and such amount
shall be levied by the County Commissioners of Prince
George's County for the use of the said guard at their regular
term for levying taxes for each year if any guard shall have
been appointed by the Sheriff and serve as aforesaid.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1929.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 18
of Article 100. of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
"Work—Hours of, in Factories, " sub-title "Employment of
Minors. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 18 of Article 100 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, title "Work—Hours of, in Factories, " sub-
title "Employment of Minors, " be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as
follows:
18. The school record required by this sub-title shall be
filled out and signed by the principal or chief executive officer
of the school which such child has last attended and shall be
