refund of the tax upon all motor vehicle fuel purchased by
the Federal Government with respect to which the tax has
been paid.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General. Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new section be, and the same is hereby added
to Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, Edition of
1924, title "Licenses, " sub-title "Gasoline Tax, " said section
to follow Section 219 of said Article, to be known as Section
219A, and to read as follows:

219A. The Federal Government shall be entitled to the
refund of the tax upon all motor vehicle fuel purchased by
it with respect to which the tax has been paid, upon compliance
with the provisions of Section 219 of this Article.

CHAPTER 477.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 204
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edi-
tion), title "Licenses, " sub-title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-head-
ing "Enforcement of Motor Vehicle Laws—Arrest, Bail, Trial
and Appeal, " as said section was amended by Chapter 520
of the Acts of 1927, providing for summons in certain cases
instead of taking person arrested immediately before a Jus-
tice of the Peace, Police Justice or Justice of the Peace of
the Traffic Court.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 204 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Licenses, " sub-title "Motor
Vehicles, " sub-heading "Enforcement of Motor Vehicle Laws—
Arrest, Bail, Trial and Appeal, " as said section was amended
by Chapter 520 of the Acts of 1927, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

204. In case any person shall be taken into custody because
of a violation of any of the provisions of this sub-title, he shall
forthwith be taken in the counties of this State before the nearest
Justice of the Peace, committing Magistrate or Police Justice
of the county in which the offense is committed, or if in Balti-
more City before the Justice of the Peace of the Traffic
