SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 475.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, Edition of 1924, title "Licenses, " sub-
title "Mode of Issuing—General Provisions, " said new sec-
tion to follow Section 6 of said Article, and to be known as
Section 6A, to provide an additional penalty for the failure
to obtain a license within the time prescribed by law.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be, and the same is hereby added
to Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, Edition of
1924, title "Licenses, " sub-title "Mode of Issuing—General
Provisions, " said new section to follow Section 6 of said Arti-
cle, to be known as Section 6A, and to read as follows:

6A. All persons, firms and corporations, required to pro-
cure licenses under the laws of this State, who shall fail or
neglect to procure the same within the time prescribed by law,
shall pay, in addition to the prescribed license fee, an additional
fee equal to ten percentum (10%) of said license fee for each
and every month thereafter that the fee shall remain unpaid.
Provided, however, that such licensees shall not be deemed
to be in default under the provisions of this section until after
the lapse of thirty clays from the date on which they may be
required to obtain such licenses.
