the lawful owner of land bordering on waters in the county
wherein he desires to fish and that such license is issued to
him. to fish in the waters opposite his shore. "
COST OF LICENSES.
Sec. 54. Each and every license to take fish for sale under
the provisions of the preceding sections shall state the name,
age and residence of the person to whom said license is granted
and every applicant for such license shall pay to the Clerk of
the Circuit Court of the county or the Clerk of the Court of
Common Pleas of Baltimore City, when such license shall be
granted and before the delivery of same, the following license
fees: For each and every purse or buck net, the sum of $25. 00;
for pound nets operated in Chesapeake Bay, the sum of $5. 00
for the first net and $1. 00 for each additional net; for pound
nets operated in the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay, the
sum of $2. 00 for all nets; for each haul seine, the sum of $5. 00
for the first net and $2. 00 for each additional net, and the
Clerk is hereby authorized to issue one license for any number
of nets licensed by any one person, and in addition to the above
license fees shall receive the sum of 25 cents f or each and every
license so issued as a fee for issuing same; and the said Clerks
shall on the first of each month render an account of such
licenses issued by them during the preceding month and remit
to the Comptroller all money received by him for issuing said
licenses, to be credited by the Comptroller to the Conservation
Fund.
LICENSE BLANKS.
Sec. 55. The Comptroller of the Treasury shall cause to
be printed and delivered to the Clerk of the Circuit Courts for
the several counties the requisite number of such blank li-
censes, and take receipt for same; and require them to be
accounted for as provided in Section 54.
PENALTY.
Sec, 56. Any person found guilty of violating any section
or part of Sections 25 to 55, inclusive, of this Article, sub-title
"Tidal Waters, " unless the penalty is provided for in the sec-
tion, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof before a justice of the peace qualified to try same, or
by any court upon appeal, shall be fined the sum of not less
