CHAPTER 467.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 416
of Article 23 of Bagby's Annotated Code of the Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland, title "Corporations," sub-title "Pub-
lic Service Commission."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 4-16 of Article 23 of Bagby's Anno-
tated Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Corporations," sub-title "Public Service Commission," be,
and the same hereby is, repealed, and re-enacted with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows:

416. The provisions of this sub-title shall apply to services
or utilities rendered by any of the corporations or persons
subject to the provisions hereof, or any of the same, within the
State of Maryland, and shall not be so construed as to extend
to any matter or thing which, under the Federal Constitution,
the Congress of the United States has the exclusive power to*
regulate, or which the Congress of the United States has, in
conformity with the said Constitution, and in the exercise of
its concurrent power, in fact regulated, to the exclusion of the
concurrent power of the several States.

Approved April 11, 1929.

CHAPTER 468.

AN ACT to revive the Charter of The Peach Bottom Slate
Company of Harford County, and to enable it to conduct
business as a corporation under the laws of the State of
Maryland upon payment by it of all taxes due by it to the
State of Maryland and of all the penalties heretofore im-
posed upon it for its default in that respect.

WHEREAS, The Peach Bottom Slate Company of Harford
County, a corporation, organized and doing business under the
laws of the State of Maryland, did, through inadvertence, neg-
lect to make payment of certain taxes due by it to the State
of Maryland, and certain penalties imposed upon it for said
neglect; and
