sonal, in the corporate limits of said town of Centreville, sub-
ject to taxation, in addition to the other taxes now authorized
to be levied and collected by said corporation, such sum or sums
of money as shall be necessary to pay the annual interest on
said 'bonds, and to pay said bonds as they respectively mature;
said special tax shall be known as the "Street Improvement
Tax" and shall be levied at the same time, and shall become
due and in arrear at the same time, and shall bear interest from
the same date, and shall be liens on all property of the person
or corporation assessed, and shall be collected in the same man-
ner as other taxes now authorized to be levied, assessed and
collected by said corporation. The proceeds of said special tax
shall be kept separate from the other funds of said corporation
and shall be used for the payment of the interest on said bonds,
and for the payment of said bonds, and for no other purpose
whatsoever.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the Town Commis-
sioners of Centreville shall keep a full registry of the bonds
authorized under this Act to be issued, with the name or names
of the purchasers thereof, the date of issue, date of maturity
and amount of each bond. When a bond is redeeemed, said bond
shall at once be cancelled on its face, and the entry of said can-
cellation shall be made in said book of registry.

SEC. 5. And 'be it further enacted, That before this Act shall
become effective the Town Commissioners of Centreville shall
submit the question of whether said bonds shall be issued to the
qualified voters of said town at a special election to be called
by said Commissioners at a time and place to be designated by
them, and notice of said election shall be given by publication
in the two newspapers printed and published in said town of
Centreville at least two weeks before said Election. The ballots
shall be prepared by the Town Commissioners of Centreville
and shall have printed on them the words: "For Street Improve-
ment Bonds'' with a blank square opposite the right of said
words, and immediately thereunder shall be the following words:
"Against Street Improvement Bonds77 with a blank square op-
posite the right of said words. And the voter shall indicate his
choice by making a cross (x) in one of said blank squares. And
the Town Commissioners of Centreville shall appoint the neces-
sary officers to conduct the election. If a majority of those vot-
ing on the question at said election shall be in favor of issuing
the above-mentioned bonds, then this Act shall immediately be-
come effective, but if a majority of those voting on the ques-
tion shall be against the issuance of said bonds, this Act shall
be of no effect and the said bonds shall not be issued.
