1070 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 409

Whenever reference is made in this sub-title to a motor vehicle
equipped with six wheels it shall be construed to mean a motor
vehicle with not more than two wheels on any axle and with
all three wheels on each side of the motor vehicle approximately
in line.

The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall have authority,
in disputed cases, to determine the extent of the applicability of
the definitions herein contained.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on and after June 1, 1929.

CHAPTER 409.

AN ACT to add a new sub-title consisting of one new section-
to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition) title "Crimes and Punishments, " said new sub-
title to be known as "Fire Apparatus—Sale of," and to
follow immediately after sub-title "Female Sitters, " said
new section to be known as Section 149A and to follow
immediately after Section 149 of said Article, providing
that the sale or having for sale of non-standard fire appa-
ratus shall be unlawful and prescribing penalties therefor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new sub-title consisting of one new sec-
tion be and the same is hereby added to Article 27 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition) title "Crimes
and Punishments, " said new sub-title to be known as "Fire
Apparatus—Sale of" and to follow immediately after sub-
title "Female Sitters" said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 149A and to follow immediately after Section 149 of
said Article, all to read as follows:

FIRE APPARATUS—SALE OF,

149A. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corpora-
tion or association to sell or offer for sale for use in the
State of Maryland any hydrant or fire engines for fire pro-
tection purposes unless the same shall be fitted and equipped
