CHAPTER 511.
AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises
contained in the last wills and testaments and codicils thereto
of certain persons, deceased, and also to certain gifts, grants,
mortgages, assignments of mortgages, sales, leases and deeds
made by various persons to and for the use and benefits of
sundry ministerial persons, religious corporations, denomi-
nations or sects, and to certain charitable institutions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sanction and consent of said General As-
sembly of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given
and granted to the following gifts, bequests, devises, grants,
sales, leases, conveyances and deeds, to and from certain per-
sons and bodies corporate to and for the use of certain min-
isterial persons, religious and education corporations, orders,
denominations, sects and to certain charitable institutions here-
inafter named and as herein set forth.
1. To the devises and bequests contained in the will of
William Wheeler, deceased, of Carroll County, probated De-
cember 8th, 1925, and recorded in the Office of the Register of
Wills of said County, in Will Record W. F. B. No. 13 folio
187, as follows:
(a) $1, 000 upon trust for the Mt. Carmel M. E. Church of
Mt. Carmel, Baltimore County, Maryland, primarily for the
upkeep of cemetery.
(b) One-third of residue upon trust for the Mt. Carmel M.
E. Church of Mt. Carmel, Baltimore County, Maryland.
2. To the following bequests in the will of Catherine Stock,
late of Baltimore City, deceased, which will is recorded in the
Office of the Register of Wills of Baltimore City, that is:
Net proceeds of the sale of 2323 Maryland Avenue, Baltimore
City and the contents thereof under the second item of her will
and all her jewelry under the fourth item of said will, to the
Most Reverend Michael J. Curley Roman Catholic Archbishop
of Baltimore, for the time being, and his successors in the
Archiespiscopal See of Baltimore, according to the discipline
and government of the Roman Catholic Church, a corporation
sole, for the use of Sts. Philip and James Church.
