SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take

CHAPTER 504.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery County to issue bonds in the sum
of thirty thousand dollars ($30, 000. 00) upon the security
of all property situate in the Second Precinct of the Thir-
teenth Election District of Montgomery County, and to
levy and collect taxes upon the property of said precinct
to pay the interest on and redeem said bonds at maturity,
the proceeds of said bonds to be used for the widening,
paving and improvement of the Brookeville Turnpike and
Sligo Avenue and Philadelphia Avenue at or near the
intersection of said Turnpike of said Avenues, North of
the crossing of the Metropolitan Branch of the Baltimore
and Ohio Railroad, over said Turnpike and for the acquir-
ing of land either by purchase or condemnation for said
purpose.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered
to issue bonds in the total amount of Thirty Thousand Dollars
($30, 000. 00) upon the credit and security of all assessable
property in the Second Precinct of the Thirteenth Election
District of Montgomery County (Silver Spring), said bonds
to be issued in sums of One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) or
any multiple thereof, to be signed by the President of the
