CHAPTER 488.

AN ACT to repeal Section 235 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, title, "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-
title "Fraud—Upon Turnpike. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 235 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, title, "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-
title "Fraud—Upon Turnpike, " be and the same is hereby
repealed.

CHAPTER 489.

AN ACT to add a new section, to be known as Section 405 of
Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of the State
of Maryland, title "Harford County, " sub-title "Havre de
Grace, " as codified by Chapter 680 of the Acts of 1916, said
new section providing that unpaid bills for water service
shall be a lien upon the property upon which said water is
used, and to read as follows:

Section 405. All charges for water or water service made
and rendered to the users thereof by the Municipal Utilities
Commission of the City of Havre de Grace, in accordance with
the powers and duties conferred upon it by law, shall be and
constitute a lien upon the property in which, or on which, said
water is, or was used; and said Commission upon satisfactory
proof of the rendition of the service shall be entitled to sue
and recover judgment against the owner of said property, for
