CHAPTER 62.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the Police Commissioner of
Baltimore City to pay a pension to James T. Cawthorn.

CHAPTER 63.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 42-A
of Article 12 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Garrett County, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " as the
said section was enacted by Chapter 520 of the Acts of 1892,
providing that the county treasurer of Garrett County shall,
not be eligible to succeed himself.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 42-A of Article 12 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Garrett County, " sub-title
"County Treasurer, " be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:
42-A. That the legal voters of said Garrett County, shall
on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November, nineteen
hundred and thirty, and on the same day and month in every
fourth year thereafter elect a suitable person of good repute and
fit business capacity to be county treasurer for said county, who
shall execute the required bond or bonds and qualify in the
manner hereinafter provided, and shall hold his office com-
mencing on the third Tuesday of the April following such elec-
tion for four years or until his successor shall be elected and
qualified, and said person shall be ineligible for four years
thereafter for election to the same office.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted., That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.
