amount expended, and the balance on hand, and if the road
fund for any current year, in any district, is overdrawn, the
report shall specifically show the same each month as said
report is made out, without any reservation whatever.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That all Acts, or parts
of Acts, inconsistent with this Act be and the same are hereby
repealed.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1927.

CHAPTER 423.

AN ACT to repeal Section 42-A of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Allegany County, " sub-title "Coun-
ty Treasurer and Taxes, " as enacted by Chapter 73 of the
Acts of 1924, and re-enacting same with amendments, pro-
viding for the compensation of Tax Collectors for Allegany
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 42-A of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Allegany County, " sub-title "County Treas-
urer and Taxes, " as enacted by Chapter 73 of the Acts of
1924, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments so as to read as follows:

Section 42-A. The Tax Collectors for each of said Tax
Collection Districts shall have^ been bona fide residents of the
several collection districts for which they shall have been
appointed for at least five years before their appointment,
and shall be at least twenty-five years of age, and shall not
be related directly or collaterally within the third degree (nor
married to anyone so related) to any member of the Board of
County Commissioners, making such appointment; and the said
Collectors shall not be eligible for re-election for the term next
ensuing; and each of said Collectors before entering upon the
discharge of his or her duties shall give bond conditioned for the
faithful performance of his or her duties in the collection of
