CHAPTER 412.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 3 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1916 Edition), title "Baltimore Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Fish, " to be known as Section 230-A and to
follow immediately after Section 230 of said Article, pro-
hibiting the taking of fish in the Bird River and Gunpowder
River within Baltimore County from midnight, October 31,
to midnight, January 31, in every year.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 3 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1916 Edi-
tion), title "Baltimore County, " sub-title "Fish, " to be known
as Section 230-A, to follow immediately after Section 230 of
said Article and to read as follows:

230-A. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons or
any Corporation to take any fish with hooks and line, or with a
net in the waters of the Bird River and in that part of the
Gunpowder River situated within the boundaries of Baltimore
County, between the hour of midnight on the thirty-first day
of October in every year, and the hour of midnight on the
thirty-first day of January, in every year. All nets and stakes
for the taking of fish in said rivers must be removed from the
water on or before the hour of midnight on the thirty-first day
of October, in every year, and no nets or stakes shall be placed
in the waters of the said Bird River and the parts of the Gun-
powder River situated within the boundaries of Baltimore
County after that date and before midnight on the thirty-first
day of January next following.

Any person convicted before a Justice of the Peace of
violating any of the provisions of this section shall be fined
not less than fifty dollars ($50. 00) nor more than one hundred
dollars ($100. 00) for each and every offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.
