Court of Baltimore City, or the Circuit Court of any County
of the State, as the case may be, to sentence a person pre-
viously convicted but not sentenced, or where the person
is under a suspended sentence or on probation, although said
sentence had been suspended or said probation granted by a
judge other than the presiding judge.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Crimes
and Punishments, " sub-title "Sentence, " to be known as Sec-
tion 577-B of said Article, and to read as follows:

577-B. Whenever any person shall have been convicted of
any offense in any of the Courts of Record, of this State, having
criminal jurisdiction, and the judge presiding therein shall not
have imposed sentence or shall have suspended sentence gen-
erally or for a definite time or shall have placed the offender
upon probation, or shall have made such other order and im-
posed such other terms as he may deem proper, and said person
should at any time thereafter be brought before the Court to be
sentenced upon the original charge of his conviction, or for a
violation of the terms and conditions of the order of probation
in the case, the judge who may then be presiding in that par-
ticular Court may proceed to sentence the said person.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all
the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 399.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 27
of Article 3 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (Offutt's
1916 Edition), title "Baltimore County, " sub-title "Birds
and Game, " prohibiting sale of certain birds and game in
Baltimore County.
