purchasers and the amounts realized on the sales and the date
of the maturity of the several bonds, and, when redeemed, the
said bonds shall be cancelled on the face of said bonds and on
the books of registry and shall not again be issued.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the money realized from
the sale of said bonds shall be applied and expended in the
erection of a new jail in said town of Crisfield, in the sinking
of a new and additional well to be used in connection with
the water system of said town and in. repairing and improving
the "Jersey Bridge" between Crisfield proper and that section
of the town known as "Jersey" and the street or roadway lead-
ing thereto; and the said Mayor and Council are hereby au-
thorized and empowered to do all acts and things that may be
necessary and proper for carrying out the objects and purposes
of this Act, and to pay the costs and expenses of the same
from the proceeds of the sale of said bonds.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the Mayor and Council of
Crisfield shall levy annually on the taxable property of
said town of Crisfield an amount sufficient to pay the interest
on said bonds as it shall become due and to redeem the said
bonds as they mature and become payable, and that said taxes
shall be collected as other taxes are collected.
SEC. Y. And be it enacted, That the said bonds shall be
known as "Crisfield Improvement Bonds" and shall be exempt
from all State, County and municipal taxation.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 52.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
31-A of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Garrett County, " sub-title "Court Crier, "
as said section was enacted by Chapter 192 of the Acts of
1890, increasing the compensation of the crier.
