SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Public Works be, and it is hereby
authorized, directed and empowered to utilize and expend the
appropriation to the Motor Vehicle Department, out of the
proceeds of the "General Construction Loan of 1927, " for the
construction of a new office building for the Motor Vehicle
Department, and to acquire such land as may be necessary for
that purpose.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Board of Public
Works, be, and it is hereby authorized and empowered to pur-
chase for that purpose the property formerly owned by the
Home for Incurables, upon which an option has heretofore
been taken by the State, and to ask for bids and enter into
contracts in the usual form for the construction of the building
to be erected upon said land.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June, 1927.

CHAPTER 352.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 39-A of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Forestry, " to be
known as Section 33-A and to follow immediately after
Section 33, to provide for the acquisition of auxiliary State
Forests and the administration thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be added to Article 39-A of Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, to be known as Section 33-A
and to follow immediately after Section 33, and to read as fol-
lows: —

SEC. 33-A. The State Department of Forestry shall have
power and authority to accept the use of lands to be used for
auxiliary State Forest Reserves and to enter into such agree-
ments with the owners thereof as may be necessary, and said
lands shall be subject to all laws, rules and regulations now
or hereafter created governing State Forest Reserves; provided,
however, that no monies appropriated to the State Department
of Forestry shall be used or expended on said auxiliary State
Forests for permanent improvements or for any purpose other
