To St. Mary's Female Seminary, for indebtedness on build-
ing erected by State after fire, $42, 000, from the issue of Au-
gust 15, 1927.
To Annapolis Emergency Hospital, for addition to build-
ing constructed by State, $40, 000, from the issue of Febru-
ary 15, 1928.
To Calvert County Hospital, $10, 000, from the issue of
February 15, 1928.
For the payment of deficits as follows: To the Board of
Welfare, for replacing condemned boilers at Maryland Peni-
tentiary, $60, 000; to the Maryland State School for the Deaf,
for constructing and equipping Trades Building, $15, 000; and
to the Eastern Shore Tuberculosis Sanatorium, for construct-
ing and equipping new building, $3, 000, all of which shall be
from the issue of August 15, 1927.
To War Memorial Commission, for improving plaza in front
of War Memorial Building in Baltimore City, $40, 000, of
which $20, 000 shall be from the issue of February 15, 1928,
and $20, 000 from the issue of August 15, 1928.
To Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commis-
sion, for the acquisition of park lands, $100, 000, of which
$50, 000 shall be from the issue of February 15, 1928, and
$50, 000 from the issue of August 15, 1928.
To Charlotte Hall, for the construction and equipment of
building to replace the one recently destroyed by fire, $50, 000,
all to be paid from the issue of August 15, 1927, and the same
to be expended under the direction of a building committee
composed of Trueman H. Thomas, Chairman of the Board of
Trustees, and R. P. Hutchins and George W. Maddox, mem-
bers of the Board of Trustees, and any vacancies occurring in
said committee to be filled by the Governor.
To Maryland State School for the Deaf, for building, equip-
ment, repairs and alterations $75, 000, all from the issue of
August 15, 1928.
SEC. Y. And be it further enacted, That all contracts for
the above purposes shall be subject to the approval of the
Board of Public Works, and where appropriations are made
to an institution or department for two or more purposes,
the order in which the same are to be begun shall likewise
